Ending Relationships
Ending relationships is the hardest part of breaking up because you have to be completely honest with
yourself. If you are the one who has been dumped, your feelings are hurt and your self-esteem becomes damaged. If you are the one who is ending the relationship, then you have to be strong because you already made your decision and you have to be strong on holding in (even though you have a broken heart and constantly thinking how to get your ex back)
Ending relationships is tough for both people because you spent enough time to be attached with the other person. Relationships, good or bad, are a habit of being together, and that habit is hard to break.
You should remember that ending relationships is only the end for one part of your life, but it is also a new beginning for something new and perhaps something that is better for you. Don’t be afraid to move on, but make moving on as painless as possible. The most important part here is acceptance.
You also must be thankful. “What should I be thankful for?” you are probably wondering as you read. Be thankful for an experience. When you are ending a relationship, you know exactly what didn’t work for you as well as exactly what you would like to have in the future, and what there is to get better for you.
7 reasons to celebrate:
1) Celebrate your freedom, even if you are not sure what to do with this freedom now.
2) Celebrate your luck. Yes, you are lucky that you are doing it now and not in the next several years after you’d spend more time sinking into relationships that are wrong for you.
3) Celebrate the fact that you are brave enough to make this decision as this decision is not easy to make at all nor is it easy to accept.
4) Celebrate the possibility to make choices. It’s a sign of being mature.
5) Celebrate new opportunities because as we all know when one door closes, another one opens.
6) Celebrate life in general. Sit down for a minute, make a list of all the good things you have, and you’ll be very surprised how long your list might be. Just write down what you are thankful for to have now.
7) Celebrate a new love. The fact that you don’t have it today does not mean that you won’t find it tomorrow in the least expected time and place.
